Editorial Intern
Jewish Living magazine seeks an enthusiastic, organized,
and energetic editorial intern to work in its New York
offices. This is an excellent opportunity to grow in
a small, collaborative environment, helping at a startup
magazine. Jewish Living is a new bimonthly magazine
serving mainstream Jewish American women and their families.
It focuses on engaging and entertaining content specific
to Jewish home, family and cultural life and takes a
uniquely modern approach to customs, holidays and activities.
The magazine provides practical information that helps
readers connect with and participate more fully in Jewish
life, along with strong literary narratives in the form
of memoirs, profiles, and cultural explorations. Jewish
Living is not an 'outreach' or 'religious' magazine.
It has an inclusive, approachable, smart, stylish, and
somewhat irreverent tone. Intern duties include Internet
research, fact-checking, proof reading, general organizational
tasks, writing opportunities, and other responsibilities
as they arise. Strong writing skills are required. A
student with a related major is preferred. School credit
and a small stipend offered. Contact jobs@jewishlivingmag.com with cover letter and resume. No phone calls please.
